Revitalization of West Nyack

Almost 18 years ago...a private committee of residents were asked by then Supervisor of the Town of Clarkstown Charles Holbrook, to assist in the design of project(s) to enhance the appearance and livability of our little community of West Nyack. Former Town Supervisor William Vines was appointed as chairman.  This committe consisted chiefly of West Nyack residents who were already concerned about the future of their hamlet and were committed to doing their utmost to see that residents of West Nyack had input and more importantly impact in making that change that was so necessary.  In 2007, the committee was reorganized by Supervisor Alex Gromack.  Over the years and after countless meetings with even you participating (at the West Nyack Fire House in 2009), the committee persisted.  Some members unfortunately left due to health reasons or out of frustration. New members stepped up to the plate and wished to be counted and were accepted with open arms.

2021 is here. Nothing has visibly happened! Where do we stand? Whats does Supervisor George Hoehmann have in store for us? Time will tell. Stay tuned!
